Meet The Team

Started his career as a ships agent, quickly progressing to becoming Agency Manager. Alongside this Jon undertook his ICS studies to further his industry knowledge. Once a qualified member Jon became an active member of the local branch and represented the ICS at international level as part of the membership committee. Jons career then progressed to becoming a chartering manager for an international fertilizer company. In 2021 Jon joined HC to spearhead the company in its next chapter.

Kristian joined the Hull team in 2003. A relative newbie in chartering, but coming from a Merchant Navy family, his heady dreams of working in the media were swiftly jettisoned once the shipping bug bit. As his experience grew, ambition came in tandem, and in 2023 - with the backing of the Casper Group - H.C. Shipping & Chartering B.V. was established; our own outpost on the Continent.

UK born but growing up in Canada with a family in shipping, educated in Law at university and coming from a background in Sales, Simon joined HC as trainee in 2014. Having now a decade of experience as a competitive broker in the European Short-Sea Dry Bulk market, mostly on steels, scrap and waste, but have and will fix most commodities that need fixing!

As the Shipping industry had dictated where Oliver grew up throughout his childhood, he was always fascinated to learn more and to become part of it. Upon finishing his education, Oliver started his own career as a Ships agent, learning the fundamentals of the industry on the job and in the ICS Classroom. Oliver then joined HC Shipping in August 2022 after 9 years of being an Agent and is now putting all of his knowledge and passion into becoming a successful Broker.

Lily started with the company in June 2011 as an Apprentice Administrator. In 2012 she qualified and got a permanent position within the company as Junior Administrator. After working here for 9 year she took on the role of Senior Administrator looking after Accounts and General Administrative roles.

Nickie started her career for HC Shipping & Chartering Ltd back in March 2009, undertaking the administration and account’s role within the Business. She has been in the Shipping Industry for 15 years having a short break and returning within the Company under Casper Chartering Ltd working from HC office.
